Horse camp is for ages 12 and up
Cost $250 per week

Camp sessions will run Mon- Fri 8am-4pm during the following weeks:
June 10-14
July 15-19 

This is a great opportunity for your horse lover to be immersed in running the barn at EAH! While getting to ride and improve their horsemanship skills, they will also get to learn what it takes in order to care for a horse….and a lot of them!

A typical day will look like:

8:00am: Drop off

8:00am – 10:30am: Morning Chores
Helping prepare feed, feeding horses, turning out, mucking the barn and runs, as well as filling and cleaning water tanks.

10:30am – 1230pm: Lesson and Horse Activity
Groundwork lesson, liberty lesson, riding, bathing, etc.

12:30pm – 1:30pm: Lunch break

1:30pm – 3:00pm: Educational Activity or Craft
Educational activities will include things that are essential to horse care such as parts of the horse, observing herd behavior and horse communication, different tack, identifying parts of the tack and their uses, basic first aid (how to identify and treat colic, identify lameness, what to do when a horse is hurt, common diseases), feeding horses, digestion, and maintaining healthy weight.

3:00 – 4:00pm: Evening Chores
Filling hay nets, preparing evening feed, or helping bring horses in.

4:00pm: Pick up
